1. Extended schools' co-ordinator (ELB)
The co-ordinator has a direct responsibility for supporting and enabling schools to become extended schools. They will be based in the Education and Library Board, and their duties will include:
- Supporting schools in writing action plans and approving action plans on behalf of the Education and Library Board
- Providing information and guidance
- Monitoring funding

2. Department of Education
Guidance issued by the Education Department in relation to the extended school.
3. Regional Training Unit
Training programmes and workshops with particular relevance to the Extended school,found in the Leadership School's Prospectus.
4. CCMS
Support of Extended schools and liaison with Trustees of schools.
5. Other
Many other government departments and organisations are willing to offer support for specific areas of work. A resource list will be compiled of organisations and the support they are willing to offer in the appendices.
